Description
Salubrinal is a selective phosphatase inhibitor that prevents dephosphorylation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 subunit α (eIF2α). Salubrinal reduces oxidative stress, neuroinflammation and impulsive-like behavior in a rodent model of traumatic brain injury. Salubrinal protects human lens epithelial cells against endoplasmic reticulum stress-associated apoptosis. Salubrinal improves cardiac function in rats with heart failure post myocardial infarction through reducing endoplasmic reticulum stress-associated apoptosis. |
